Anna described her wedding vision as romantic and elegant, with a color palette that brought it to life: ivory, marigold, pale blush, rust, and subtle pops of maroon and light blue. It was the perfect pairing for an early autumn celebration at one of Pittsburgh’s most timeless venues—The Frick.
I knew this day would be thoughtful in all the right ways. But when I arrived, I was genuinely taken aback by how beautifully it all came together.
Anna wore a striking blue gown by Anne Barge, purchased from Anne Gregory Couture. It was an untraditional choice in the best way—completely true to her. Her bridal look was completed with elegant Manolo Blahnik slingbacks and an heirloom orange cameo ring that once belonged to her grandmother.
Hair by Emma Hackworth and makeup by Allison Nicole completed Anna’s effortlessly classic bridal look. Her bridesmaids and all the important women in her life wore ivory, a soft contrast to her light blue gown.
Before seeing Anna, Vince shared a sweet first look with his three sisters and mom—an emotional moment that set the tone for the day.
Anna and Vince’s first look took place in front of the museum, a serene and meaningful spot on The Frick property. After a few quiet moments together, they turned to find their closest friends and family clapping and cheering—a beautiful surprise and a reminder of how loved they are.
Their bridal party portraits followed, featuring the most incredible florals by Finch and the Sprout. Anna’s bouquet was a masterpiece of late summer color and texture, blending perfectly with her gown and the bridesmaids’ ivory dresses.
The ceremony space was styled with an abstract floral arch by Finch and the Sprout that framed the moment beautifully. With Events by Emily at the helm as planner, everything ran seamlessly. Anna and Vince walked down the aisle together, side by side—a small but powerful gesture. They exchanged personal vows and broke the glass before stealing a quiet cocktail moment alone.
Anna and Vince’s reception took place under a stunning clear top tent on the green space behind the museum. When Anna stepped inside, she gasped—Events by Emily had completely transformed the space. The rentals from Windswept and Vintage Alley added texture and personality, while Proof and Parchment’s signage tied everything together. Lo Bar handled the drinks, and Black Radish catered the evening with an unforgettable menu.
Anna’s mother started the toasts. Vince’s sisters then shared a moving toast that brought him to tears—one of the standout emotional moments of the night. Their first dance invited all guests to join in, and from that moment forward, the energy never let up. Cleveland Music Group’s The Orchestra kept the dance floor packed until the very end.
Just before sunset, we snuck away for a few portraits and popped a bottle of champagne to soak it all in. That pause before the party continued felt symbolic—intentional and rooted in presence.
Anna and Vince’s wedding at The Frick was heartfelt, stylish, and joy-filled in all the right ways. I loved documenting their legacy as it unfolded in real time.
