The week before Sydney and Andy’s wedding, spring made an early appearance in South Western Pennsylvania—sunshine, warmth, and hints of everything beginning to bloom. But on March 22, the skies turned gray and the rain moved in. Still, none of it mattered. The joy was steady, the celebration full, and the love between these two made the day feel like magic.
Thanks to the team at Bumbleburgh Events, the entire weekend at Nemacolin Resort unfolded seamlessly—proof that rain doesn’t stand a chance against good planning and great energy.
Sydney and Andy spent the morning getting ready in The Chateau at Nemacolin, surrounded by their families and closest friends. In one suite, Sydney and her bridesmaids popped champagne and danced to Usher, while Andy and his groomsmen played rounds of Catan indoors—laughing, relaxed, and ready for the day ahead.
Sydney wore an elegant Eva Lendel gown from Love Couture, and her bridesmaids wore a soft mix of pastels from Azazie, Kennedy Blue, and Birdy Grey. The Farmer’s Daughter brought their vision to life with florals that blended spring textures and color with a delicate, organic feel.
The first look took place in Nemacolin’s Tea Room, a peaceful, light-filled space that gave Sydney and Andy a chance to take a breath together before everything began. Andy’s reaction was one of the sweetest we’ve seen—he literally jumped for joy. It was playful, genuine, and so completely them.
Their ceremony was held at Reflections, one of the most serene locations on the Nemacolin property. Though the rain never quite let up, the space felt warm, intimate, and full of love. Sydney’s stepfather, Mark, officiated the ceremony, and their cousins shared heartfelt readings. Sydney and Andy exchanged personal vows that were full of tenderness, sincerity, and quiet joy.
A Romantic Reception in the Grand Lodge
Following portraits, guests gathered in the Grand Ballroom of the Grand Lodge—a space brought to life with soft pink tones and bold black accents. The contrast was striking in the best way, setting the tone for an evening that felt both timeless and modern.
DJ Andrew Smith filled the room with energy from the first song. Within minutes, the dance floor was packed—and it stayed that way all night. (He’s officially made my top-three DJs list, by the way.)
What stood out most about Sydney and Andy’s wedding day was the ease of it all. The weather didn’t cooperate, but it didn’t matter. Their day was grounded in gratitude and presence, full of the kind of calm joy that lingers long after the music ends.
Nemacolin provided a stunning backdrop. Bumbleburgh Events created a seamless experience. And Sydney and Andy? They brought the heart. I’d relive this one in a heartbeat.
